Migdalia Brown Isaac

A graduate of the Law School of Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD) in 2000, Ms. Brown Isaac has a master’s degree in Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure and is currently pursuing a master’s in Administrative Law and Administrative Procedure from the same university. She completed a postgraduate diploma course in Human Rights and Fair Trial at Universidad de Chile; an Initial Training Course for Public Defenders focused on Children and Adolescents at the National School of the Judiciary, and a Specialized Program Course in Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law from INSUDE.
She is a former career public defender, having held different positions within the National Public Defense Office for 15 years: Public Defender of the National District Juvenile Criminal Court; Coordinator of the Public Defender´s Office of San Pedro de Macoris, and Career and Development Department Coordinator.
